after two years of planning, crazy problem solving, temporary freakouts, hard work and a couple hundred dollars (loooollll…;;;;) I finally finished my Kururiuri-Henshin costume AND WILL BE WEARING IT THIS WEEKEND AT ACEN!! OMFG I’M SO EXCITEEEDDDDAALDFKASDFL this is my first ever costume made completely by myself, from dying the yellow fabric to making the wooden geta with a table saw, omg it’s like wearing a two-year art project.  i’m so excited to finally wear it.

so now i’m gonna pic-spam mononoke for a bit HURR

this weekend I am cosplaying the Medicine Seller’s otherself; the anime/manga I am cosplaying from was originally part of a horror OVA collection that contained a bunch of different horror-genred arcs unrelated to eachother called Akayashi.  the Medicine Seller’s story was the last arc, and referred to as Akayashi Bakeneko (if i remember correctly)

the horror arc did so well they created a spin-off mini series containing more arcs about the mysterious medicine seller, the series is called Mononoke.  The additional arcs can be found here: http://www.anilinkz.com/search/anilinkz/mononoke/

The Medicine Seller arcs are all so raw and intense and real and different than anything i’ve ever seen in any other anime, and the art is absolutely gorgeous and different and beautiful.  I highly recommend them :D
