the plants name is called “makahiya” and hiya in tagalog means “shy”.

whenever you touch the plants leaves, they immediately fold up together looking as if its really shy hence the name.

they used to have these at this science museum here and i loved to touch them *u*

I immensely glad that when the Harry Potter movies came out, they didn’t come out with reprints of the book that have terrible movie themed covers. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the movies, but the book covers are something that should never be messed with.

Aaaaagh not only for the HP series, I really wish they wouldn’t do this to the book-to-movie covers period. Haha when that horrid movie adaptation of the Dark is Rising book came out and I saw the updated covers I wanted to knee the director in the face.
